on Friday, August 1 at the Blowing Rock Country Club.
Vosburgh’s selection as honorary chairwoman was announced by
event organizer Alice Roess at a luncheon for the fashion show committee held
in the home of Suzanne Miller on Fairway 11 court in Blowing Rock.
The August 1 event will include a fashion show, luncheon and
silent auction featuring dozens of wonderful items such as costume jewelry,
original artwork, and gift baskets from area merchants.
Money raised from the fashion show and luncheon will go
toward the construction of the new Chestnut Ridge at Blowing Rock health care
facility, an arm of the Appalachian Regional Healthcare System that will
replace Blowing Rock Hospital.
Chestnut Ridge will specialize in long-term care, palliative
care, rehabilitative services and Alzheimer’s disease treatment and care.
Groundbreaking for the new healthcare facility will take
place during a special ceremony on Tuesday, June 24.
