Ledford told officers that he fell asleep and ran off the right side of the road. Investigating Officer Anthony Biard reported that no other vehicles were involved and no one was injured in the accident.

Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $30,000.

Ledford was arrested by police following the accident on charges unrelated to the accident.

Ledford was arrested for failing to appear in court in Burke County.

Six citations were issued last week. The charges included possession of marijuana, driving while license revoked, no driver’s license and expired registration plate.
