There’s a time for little girls and boys to wear jeans and T-shirts and not care what they look like.

But there’s also a time for some of them to get dressed to the nines, just for the fun of it all.

The Little Miss and Master WinterFest Pageant celebrates those times when you just want to look spectacular and show off some talent.

The Little Miss and Master WinterFest Pageant will be held on Saturday, Jan. 19, at the Blowing Rock School auditorium on Sunset Drive in Blowing Rock. Registration begins at 10 a.m. The competition begins at 11:30 a.m., and the crowning ceremony begins at 3 p.m.

The WinterFest Pageant is open to boys and girls from infants through their teens. It is presented by Little Miss North Carolina and the Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce.

Winners in a wide range of divisions will win trophies and other prizes.

Proceeds from the pageant will benefit the Watauga Humane Society.
