    The Town of Blowing Rock Fire & Rescue Department is now accepting applications for the full time position of Engineer / Paramedic assigned to a 24-hour shift work schedule. This     employee performs service work in responding to emergencies including fire, rescue and medical incidents, and attends training sessions and does other work as assigned. This employee is in the first line of contact with the public and will have highly         developed customer service skills. The successful applicant will have a pleasant disposition and work well with others in a team environment.

    Must possess or be able to attain within 18 months and maintain required certifications including; NC Firefighter II, Technical    Rescuer (TR or RT) and EMT-Paramedic Certifications.         Successful applicant must currently have all NFPA 1403         live-burn classes, EMT-Basic certification and appropriate valid NC driver's license. Basic computer skills preferred as well as graduation from high school.

    ◆ Bachelor Degree in Accounting and Finance
    ◆ 5 years of Broad Finance experience
    ◆ Some experience with Country Clubs, Hotels, or Resorts a plus
    ◆ Licensed CPA
