Mayland Community College is a small, comprehensive community college located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina. Applied Engineering Technology Instructor The Applied Engineering Technology program prepares students to use basic engineering principles and technical skills to solve technical problems in various types of industry. The course work emphasizes analytical and problem-solving skills. The curriculum includes courses in safety, math, physics, electricity, engineering technology, and technology-specific specialty areas. The faculty will provide classroom instruction in all levels of courses specific to the discipline; serve as academic advisor for students enrolled in the program; schedule courses for the program; develop the curriculum; order textbooks for program; assess student learning and program outcomes; attend faculty meetings; serve on college committees, etc. This position will report to the Dean of Career Technologies. AAS degree in Applied Engineering, Machining, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field
Two years' verifiable work experience in CNC or PLC Preferred Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering related field
Verifiable work experience using SolidWorks or other design software
Verifiable work experience in the Machining field , including using Siemens, Fanuc, and/or Haas controls
