Phyllis Evonne Turner, 71, of Blowing Rock, formerly of Mooresville, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2011, in Blowing Rock.

She was born on June 22, 1940, in Mooresville, to the late Jesse Martin and Helen Coone Turner.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Harvey Turner and Bobby Turner.

She is survived by her sister, Shirley Walser and husband, Gene, of Raleigh; brother, Larry Turner of Houston, TX; and sister-in-law, Alma Turner of Mooresville.

A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2011, at Glenwood Memorial Park. The family received friends prior to the service from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.
