Ann Taylor Johnson Sellers

Ann Taylor Johnson Sellers, 54, of 1004 W. Davis St., Burlington, died on Dec. 31, 2013, at UNC Hospital.

She was born on July 21, 1959, to the late John Nathan Johnson, Jr. and Geraldine Taylor Johnson.

Ann and her husband moved to Burlington in 2006 to establish Cape Fear Consulting, and maintained residences in both Blowing Rock and Burlington. She was a member of Holy Comforter Episcopal Church where she was former chair of "Journey to Adulthood" events, former board member of Williams High School PTSO and Turrentine Middle School PTO, was currently serving on the Board of Directors of Alamance County Historical Museum, and a member of the Pink Ribbon Luncheon Committee of ARMC Foundation, which for the past seven years was one of her passions.

She is survived by her husband, Herman Charles Sellers III; and her four children, Ruth Taylor Stephenson, Jeffrey Barnes Stephenson Jr., Nathan Johnson Stephenson, and Andrew Thomas Stephenson. She is also survived by two step-daughters, Jacquelynn Leigh Sellers and Heather Michelle Sellers.

Ann loved her family and was loved by so many people in the community. Ann always gave to others without regard for herself.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, at The Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter in Burlington with the Rev. Adam J. Shoemaker officiating. The family received friends following the service in the Great Hall at Holy Comforter Episcopal Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit, UNC Hospitals, 170 Manning Drive, Campus Box 7060, Chapel Hill, NC 27599.
