By Capt. Aaron Miller

Blowing Rock Police welcomes the newest member of the team, Jordan Byland.

Officer Byland began his employment with the town of Blowing Rock last week.

Byland is a Granite Falls native. He completed his basic law enforcement training in December 2011 and has worked part time for the Valdese Police Department since July 2012.

Byland will be completing several weeks of field training with his field training officer, Dan White.
Please make Jordan feel welcome around town.

Officer Byland is filling the first of two vacancies at the Blowing Rock Police Department. Work is currently under way to select a candidate to fill the second opening.
