BRF&R Auxiliary helps Blowing Rock School playground project

One of the biggest concerns of the Blowing Rock community these days is the playground at Blowing Rock School. Used by not only school children, but also by summer residents and families visiting on weekends, it is in need of repair on several fronts.

The Blowing Rock Fire and Rescue Auxiliary recently made a $500 donation toward the Blowing Rock School Playground Renovation Project.

“The Blowing Rock Fire and Rescue Auxiliary is a volunteer group that supports our fire department and our community,” said Susan Graham, president of the BRF&R Auxiliary. “The members of the auxiliary do fundraisers throughout the year to raise money for needs in our community. We are pleased to be able to donate $500 to the Blowing Rock School Playground Project. We believe this is needed for our children’s safety and enjoyment. We hope the project reaches its goal soon.”
