Dana Addison, middle, of Airhaven Limo won the Customer Service Star Award Saturday during his shift driving the Blowing Rock Trolley during Art in the Park. Here, Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Charles Hardin and Blowing Rock first lady Lynn Lawrence present the award to him. Sponsored by Blue Ridge Electric Membership Corporation and presented by the Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce, the Customer Service Star Award is given to an employee in Blowing Rock who goes that extra mile to ensure that visitors and residents are treated like family. In May, Addison helped an elderly visitor on and off of the trolley and made an unscheduled stop to help them get where they were going.
